Building the Product, System, and Team from the Ground Up
Scope & Execution
As an early hire and Director of Design at Vial, I led Product Design, Marketing Design, and UX Research, shaping the company’s platform, brand, and design strategy from inception.
I partnered closely with leadership, product, and engineering to build a modern clinical trials ecosystem designed for speed, usability, and operational efficiency.
This included architecting a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency across products, integrating AI-powered workflows that reduced manual data entry by 80%, and leading research initiatives that validated user needs and continuously measured product impact.
Results
In under two years, we delivered best-in-class clinical tools that achieved exceptional usability benchmarks (93 SUS, 65 NPS), accelerated site onboarding by 80%, and significantly improved patient and sponsor experiences across the trial lifecycle.
Beyond product execution, I shaped Vial’s brand identity, investor materials, and marketing presence, while mentoring and scaling a multidisciplinary design team focused on craft, clarity, and measurable outcomes.
